They have been eating and moving around.  They are beautiful.  One of the butterflies is moving.  Some of the butterflies are still.  The chrysalis are emerged.  They are drinking nectar.  I see the butterflies drank some nectar from the flowers.  I see lots of meconium.  I see the butterflies proboscis.  They have 6 legs.  They have a head, abdomen, and thorax.  Two of the chrysalides look strange because they are standing up.  Maybe the stages will start all over again.

I see a black chrysalis.  It is cool.   It is still like a statue.  The butterflies drink nectar from oranges and flowers.  Butterflies have a proboscis.  They have three body parts.  They have a head, abdomen, and a thorax.  They might lay eggs and the life cycle will start over again.

When we returned from the weekend, we had noticed the chrysalis was becoming very dark and you could see the oranges/reds of the butterfly's wings through the chrysalis!

Yesterday afternoon as we were lining up for recess something very exciting happened!  The caterpillar/chrysalis that we have been recording and photographing emerged from its chrysalis!  The students were able to watch the butterfly emerge!

I see 4 chrisalisis.  There is a orange in the bottom of the container.  It is a blue container that there are in.  Two chrylisis are dark andtwo are light colored.  The kind of  butterfly they are going to turn into is the painted lady butterfly.  I think the orange is there for them to have moustuire.  There is a slice of a orange.

I see the chrysalis is way dark.  There are 4 chrysalis in a box.  I think they are about to hatch because they are way dark.  I see a peice of orange to give them moisture. The kind of butterfly we have is the painted lady butterfly.  I see orange and black colored wings.  They are being very still. Only 2 of the chrysalis is very dark but other 2 are not a bit dark.

I see a little bit of red.  Iall so see a little bit of white.  I sall some gold.  I can see thesilk.  The chrisalis isn't moving a lot.

I see little red dots. I see raely dark black. I see lite brown. I see the wings spot where the buterflys wings go.

The caterpillars are changeing into a butterfiy. The first is the egg on a leaves. next is the larva  which is the caterpiller. The butterfly has two wings thorax head and antennae.

all of the chrysalis are green.theres a orange in the box. one  is in a cube in the box. one is hanging from a top.

They are in the butterfly house. We don't know who's are who's.  The chrysalises are very still.
